Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new film Love And War. The love triangle story, also starring Alia Bhatt, is scheduled to release on Eid 2026 and has already created a buzz.
Earlier this week, both actors were spotted outside Bhansali’s Mumbai office, hinting that preparations have begun. Now, recent photos show Ranbir and Vicky posing with Indian Air Force officers at the Bikaner Air Force Base in Rajasthan. Fans believe this visit might mean the actors are playing IAF pilots in the movie.

A Times of India report claims that this visit to the Bikaner Air Force Base could be for their roles in Love & War. With this military visit, speculation is high that both actors might play Air Force pilots caught in a complex love triangle.
Love And War Isn’t A Remake!
When Bhansali first announced Love And War, some fans speculated it could be a remake of Raj Kapoor’s classic Sangam, a love-triangle film from 1964.
However, Bhansali cleared up the rumours in a recent Hollywood Reporter India interview. “You should not remake Sholay or Mother India. So why would I remake Sangam?” he said.
Although he admires Raj Kapoor, he confirmed that Love & War is entirely original and set in the present day, a change from his recent period films.
Bhansali has promised that Love And War will be a refreshing experience for audiences. “It’s contemporary. The music is different. It’s a new space for me, and I’m enjoying it,” he explained, indicating a departure from his iconic period settings.
This film marks a series of exciting reunions. Ranbir is returning to work with Bhansali after his 2007 debut Saawariya. Bhansali and Alia Bhatt are also teaming up again after the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi in 2022.
Fans are also eager to see Ranbir and Vicky together again after Sanju (2018) and Alia and Vicky after Raazi (2018). Real-life couple Ranbir and Alia will share the screen again after Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.
