The buzz around Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love And War is reaching fever pitch. The film, which stars Bollywood heavyweights Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is officially set to hit theatres on March 20, 2026.
This date has been strategically chosen to coincide with a peak holiday season, promising an extended festive run for the epic saga.
Love And War Planned As One Of The Biggest Holiday Release
The release date of Love And War falls right in the midst of a major holiday stretch, including festivals such as Ramzan, Ram Navmi, and Gudi Padwa.
This timing is expected to maximise viewership as audiences across India will be in celebration mode, making it an ideal period for a big film release.
According to sources close to the production, “The long holiday period will provide the perfect opportunity for the film to captivate audiences throughout the season.”
The film has already generated considerable excitement due to its star-studded cast and Bhansali’s reputation for grand cinematic storytelling.
Ranbir Kapoor & SLB’s Long-Awaited Reunion With Love And War
Love And War marks a significant reunion between Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor. Their last collaboration was the film Saawariya in 2007, which ended on a somewhat rocky note. After more than a decade, the two are set to join forces once again.
This film also marks the second collaboration between real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The two previously worked together on the fantasy adventure Brahmastra.
The addition of Vicky Kaushal to the mix adds to the film’s allure. Although Bhatt and Kapoor have previously shared screen time with Kaushal in films like Sanju and Raazi, Love And War will be the first time the trio will appear together on screen.
Additionally, this is the first time Bhansali will be working with Kaushal, which adds more to the excitement.
