Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War has hit an unexpected snag, with the shoot delayed by two months due to heavy rains in Mumbai. The much-anticipated film, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, was originally set to begin shooting on October 10.
However, the rains caused significant damage to the set. The schedule has now been pushed to late November or early December.

Love And War Set To Be Reconstructed After An Extensive Damage
According to reports, the elaborate set construction for the film faced multiple delays due to the monsoon.
A source close to the project revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films are known for their grandeur, and he wants everything to look perfect. Unfortunately, the rains have caused extensive damage, and the set needs more time to be completed.”

Despite the setback, the director is making the most of the delay. Bhansali is reportedly using the extra time to refine the script and music for the film.
“SLB is viewing this as an opportunity. He’ll be holding more workshops with Alia, Ranbir, and Vicky, and working further on the story and soundtrack,” the insider shared.
Love And War marks the reunion of Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor after their 2007 film Saawariya. The film, described as a love triangle, is already generating buzz due to its star-studded cast and Bhansali’s signature style.
The film’s release is slated for Eid 2026, making it one of the most awaited projects in Bollywood.
