Karan Johar recently announced a new series titled Love Storiyaan. The filmmaker took to his Instagram and revealed that he has put together a series of real-life love stories, much like the Modern Love series, for the special occasion of Valentine’s Day.
Love Storiyaan A Six Part Series
The series features a six-part heartwarming revisiting of real-life love stories, conceptualised by Somen Mishra. The series puts under spotlight six real-life couples from across the country and their stories of love, hope, happiness and triumph over all adversities. The trailer is out now.

The trailer opens up with Karan Johar inviting audiences to discover the meaning of love with heartfelt stories, and goes on to introduce real-life couples and give a glimpse into their journey. These diverse narratives of love in its many shades promise to not only engage and immerse one in these special stories but also encourage viewers to look at life from a different perspective, making it an ideal Valentine’s Day watch.
Among the six heartwarming stories, one recounts the experience of a woman who discovered love later in life, another narrates the journey of a couple from Chattogram in Bangladesh, and yet another tells the tale of a woman who went all the way to Kabul for her love. That apart, the collection includes the touching stories of love and marriage between a transwoman and an inter-caste couple who defied societal odds.

About the series, Karan Johar, whose Dharmatic Entertainment, has produced it, said, “Love Storiyaan for us, is more than just a faithful retelling of real-life love stories. The series looks at love in all its forms, painting a beautiful picture of connections that go beyond the ordinary.”
The stories have been captured through the lens of six directors – Akshay Indikar, Archana Phadke, Collin D’Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Vivek Soni. A Dharmatic Entertainment Production, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra serving as executive producers, Love Storiyaan is inspired by real-life stories featured on India Love Project, a social media community founded by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman. The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
