The reason behind this change is simple. Laxman Utekar is currently completely occupied with his upcoming film Eetha, and he wants to give both projects the attention they deserve.
Director Is Busy With Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha
Laxman Utekar, who directed the original Luka Chuppi in 2019 with Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, is currently neck deep in the shoot of Eetha. This film stars Shraddha Kapoor and is a biopic on the Tamasha artiste Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.
The director is reportedly giving his complete focus to Eetha right now. Sources say that Laxman does not want Luka Chuppi 2 to feel rushed or compromised in any way. This is actually good news for fans, as it shows the director’s commitment to quality. He will wrap up Eetha by mid-2026, and only then will he train his focus on the rom-com sequel.
Lead Actors Also Have Busy Schedules
It is not just the director who has a packed date diary. Both lead actors of Luka Chuppi 2 are also juggling multiple projects. Varun Dhawan is expected to begin work on Bhediya 2 soon, the sequel to his successful horror comedy.
