The emotional world of Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace has found a softer, more intimate note. After building intrigue with its teaser and earlier music drops, Salman Khan Films has now released the reprise version of Main Hoon, placing Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh at the centre of a melody steeped in memory, longing and quiet heartbreak.
The song arrived on May 28, 2026, through Salman Khan Films Music, and brings a striking black-and-white visual treatment to the film’s romantic track. At 3 minutes and 39 seconds, the reprise leans into stillness and emotion rather than spectacle, giving the pairing of Salman and Chitrangda a graceful, old-world texture.
Main Hoon Reprise Is Now Out
The makers announced the song with the line, “#MainHoonReprise Out Now!” The official description further calls it “a heartfelt ode to love and the quiet strength of holding on to someone through memories. A song about presence beyond distance, and emotions that continue to stay long after moments have passed”.
That sentiment reflects strongly in the video, where the monochrome palette adds a sense of nostalgia to the track’s central emotions. Instead of treating heartbreak as high drama, the reprise frames it through remembered intimacy, lingering glances and the ache of emotional distance.
Musically, Main Hoon Reprise has been composed by Ayaan Lall, who also sings the track with Shreya Ghoshal. The lyrics are by Ayaan Lall and Shabbir Ahmed, while Ravi Basrur handles music production. Shabina Kkhan is credited as director of choreography, shaping the song’s visual rhythm around restrained emotion and melody.
A Galwan Inspired War Drama With Emotional Stakes
Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salma Khan under Salman Khan Films. The Hindi war drama stars Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh, with the film presented by Salman Khan Films.
The film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2026. It is centred on themes of bravery, sacrifice and resilience, with Salman playing a character inspired by Colonel B. Santosh Babu in a story linked to the Galwan Valley clash. The premise positions the film as both a war drama and an emotional tribute to courage under extraordinary circumstances.
