Amazing. Meanwhile, I keep reading a new ‘final’ name every day… so I guess I must be casting for the wrong Madhubala biopic, because we haven’t even started yet. #MadhubalaBiopic.”
That statement effectively puts a full stop to the recent chatter that Saiyaara actor Aneet Padda had been finalised, and the parallel buzz that Sai Pallavi was in serious contention. With Chhabra confirming that casting has not begun, no actor can be treated as officially attached to the lead role at this point.

The Madhubala biopic remains in development and is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. As per the information circulating with the film’s early packaging, Darlings director Jasmeet K. Reen has been linked to the project as the filmmaker expected to direct.
