It’s a huge sigh of relief for the team of Jolly LLB 3! The much-awaited courtroom comedy, starring the epic duo of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, has just won a major legal battle. The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a plea that was trying to get the film banned, giving it a big green signal.
The petition had claimed that the film’s song, Bhai Vakeel Hai, and its trailers were insulting to the Indian judiciary and the legal profession. Fans were worried this could delay the film, but the court has finally put those fears to rest.
Court Finds Nothing Wrong
According to the reports, a two-judge bench looked at everything, the song’s lyrics, the teaser, and the trailer, and came to a clear conclusion. The court stated that they found nothing objectionable in the content that would cause any trouble or disrespect to real lawyers. In simple terms, the judges didn’t see what the fuss was about and threw out the case.
This victory is a huge boost for the filmmakers, who have been dealing with legal hurdles for a while now. For a franchise that is all about courtroom drama, it’s quite ironic that the team had to face a real-life court case and come out winning!
But The Troubles Aren’t Over Yet
While this win is definitely a reason to celebrate, the Jolly LLB 3 team isn’t completely out of the woods. The film is still facing another legal challenge in a Pune court. A lawyer there has filed a complaint saying the movie makes fun of the court system. He was particularly unhappy with a scene where judges are allegedly called “mamu.”
Because of this complaint, both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi have been asked to appear before the Pune court on September 28. This means that while one major roadblock is gone, there’s still another one to deal with. This has been a pattern for the film, which also faced complaints from the Ajmer District Bar Association back in May.
