Malaika Arora is bringing her love for food to a whole new space. The actress and entrepreneur is set to open a chic new cafe at Sunny Villa, the well-known Juhu property owned by Sunny Deol.
The space, once home to the popular canteen at Sunny Super Sound, is now being transformed. Soon, it will welcome food lovers with a brand-new experience.
Malaika Arora To Start Her New Cafe By Next Month
For years, Sunny Villa has been a hotspot for Bollywood celebrities and journalists. The property houses Sunny Super Sound, a post-production hub with a preview theatre and two editing suites.
But in early 2025, regular visitors were surprised to find the famous canteen shut down. A temporary F&B area was set up elsewhere, leading many to believe the canteen would make a comeback.
However, a source confirmed that’s not happening. Instead, Malaika Arora is taking over the space with a brand-new cafe. “Popular actress and model Malaika Arora is opening her café in the space where once the canteen stood. The work is going on in full swing and is expected to open next month, that is, March 2025,” the source shared with Bollywood Hungama.
It is still unclear whether the café will be another branch of her Bandra-based Scarlett House or an entirely new concept. But the buzz around it is growing.
What Can Visitors Expect?
Malaika Arora is no stranger to the restaurant business. In December 2023, she launched Scarlett House in Pali Hill. The health-conscious café is located inside a 90-year-old Portuguese bungalow. Co-managed by her son Arhaan Khan, it offers fresh and organic dishes. Some of the signature items on the menu include Paneer Thecha and spice-baked Sea Bass.
If her new Juhu café follows a similar concept, visitors can expect a trendy and wellness-focused dining experience. Excitingly, Sunny Villa has always been a private space for Bollywood insiders, but will now be open to the public for the first time.
For the unversed, Sunny Super Sound made headlines in August 2023 when Sunny Villa was briefly listed for auction. The notice stated that the property would be e-auctioned due to an unpaid loan of Rs 56 crore. However, just a day later, the auction was withdrawn due to technical reasons. Sunny Deol retained ownership of the property.
