Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat has shut down rumours about his collaboration with Ram Charan. Reports claimed the Kill director was in advanced talks with the South superstar for a mythological film. However, Nikhil has now made it clear that these claims are false.
Nikhil Nagesh Bhat DENIES Rumours Of Teaming Up With Ram Charan
Speculation began when reports suggested that Nikhil and Ram Charan had been discussing a big-budget mythological film for months. A source quoted by Pinkvilla said, “It’s a big-budget, larger-than-life drama set against the backdrop of one of the most important characters of Indian mythology. The pre-visualisation is done, and the team is excited to collaborate with Ram Charan on the same.”
However, Nikhil has now dismissed the rumours. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he simply stated, “It’s not true at all.”
Director On Kill’s Success & Future Plans
Nikhil’s recent film Kill made a strong impact on the international film festival circuit. Starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala, the action thriller was produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga. The film received critical acclaim and performed decently at the box office.
Reflecting on its success, Nikhil shared, “With Kill receiving critical acclaim both in India and abroad, I feel I’ve stepped into a world where stories can transcend borders, connecting with audiences locally and globally. More than success, it’s the validation of storytelling that has made this year special.”
While he has denied the Ram Charan project, Nikhil confirmed he is working on a new film. Without revealing too much, he teased, “I’m currently working on a new story. And while it’s too early to reveal much, I can promise that it will stay true to my love for action but will go deeper emotionally. It’s a film that’s going to challenge me like no other project has before, and I’m excited to explore new dimensions of storytelling with it.”
Apart from Kill, Nikhil is also known for directing Hurdang and Apurva.
Ram Charan: Upcoming Projects
Talking about Ram Charan, he made his acting debut in 2007 with Chirutha and recently starred in Game Changer (a Telugu political thriller directed by Shankar). Despite its massive Rs 300-400 crore budget and a star-studded cast, including Kiara Advani, the film struggled at the box office.
The 39-year-old actor is currently considering multiple projects. He has already signed RC 16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. He is also in discussions with Pushpa 2 director Sukumar for a potential collaboration.
