Ram Charan might be gearing up for one of his most ambitious films yet. According to the latest update, the RRR star is in advanced talks to lead a high-budget mythological drama directed by Kill filmmaker Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. This massive project will be produced by Madhu Mantena and is expected to be a grand visual spectacle.

Nikhil Nagesh Bhat gained huge attention after directing 2024’s action-packed thriller Kill, backed by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga. The film gained critical acclaim at international festivals and performed well at the Indian box office. Now, the director has his sights set on a mythological epic and he wants Ram Charan to bring it to life.
A source quoted in a Pinkvilla report reveals that Ram Charan and Nikhil have been in discussions for over six months. The film is described as a big-budget, larger-than-life drama based on an important figure from Indian mythology. The pre-visualisation is reportedly complete, and the team is excited about working with Ram Charan. A final decision is expected soon, as things seem to be falling into place.
Ram Charan Is Currently Focused On His Next
If the deal is finalised, this mythological epic could be Ram Charan’s next project after his ongoing film with Buchi Babu Sana, which co-stars Janhvi Kapoor. The film’s timelines are expected to be locked soon.
Before starting work on Ram Charan’s film, Nikhil is set to collaborate with producer Murad Khetani again. They previously worked together on the 2023 thriller Apurva, and details about their new project are being kept under wraps.
The report also mentions that he is also in talks with Pushpa 2 director Sukumar, who is working on a new script. If all goes as planned, Ram Charan’s upcoming slate may include films with Buchi Babu, Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, and Sukumar.
For the unversed, the actor was last seen in Shankar’s political thriller Game Changer which was accused of heavy manipulation of box office figures.
