It’s finally happening! Allu Arjun has officially teamed up with blockbuster director Atlee for a massive sci-fi film, and the internet is already losing it.
Titled #AA22xA6 for now, the film was announced on Allu Arjun’s 43rd birthday with a teaser that dropped major hints, Hollywood-level VFX, and an ‘unbelievable’ script.
Atlee And Allu Arjun Make Their Collab Official
On Tuesday, Sun Pictures dropped the big news on Twitter, confirming that this Allu Arjun-Atlee collab is not just real but already in motion. The announcement video shows Sun Pictures head Kalanithi Maran meeting the star duo and sealing the deal.
The clip then cuts to Allu Arjun and Atlee flying to Los Angeles to visit top-tier VFX studios. We then get a sneak peek into just how massive this project is going to be.
The video shows Allu Arjun trying on futuristic masks and testing out next-gen motion gear, teasing a character that’s clearly not of this world. A 360-degree 3D scanning sequence adds more fuel to the hype, hinting at something visually groundbreaking.
The best part is that Hollywood’s finest VFX creators are on board. James Madigan, who worked on Iron Man 2 and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, said, “I just read the script and I’ve got to say, my head is still spinning.”
That’s not all. Mike Elizalde from Spectral Motion added, “The script is seriously unlike anything I’ve ever read. It is the best of the best of what I would ever want to create.”
Even Oscar-winning prosthetics and makeup artist Justin Raleigh couldn’t hide his excitement. He said, “Reading through it, I’m very excited about all the potential creatures, all the different character possibilities.”
Deadpool & Wolverine VFX lead William Wright Anderson said, “I cannot wait to be a part of this. I can’t wait to see what his vision does. The story is unbelievable.”
Production Begins Later This Year
The film is set to explore a “beyond the world” genre, packed with supernatural twists, alien life, and high-stakes action. It’s clearly aiming to take Indian cinema to the global sci-fi map.
Music for the film will be composed by Sai Abhyankar, who’s making his Tollywood debut with this biggie. Production will kick off later this year, and the full cast will be announced soon.
