Mumbai drug bust: Here’s a timeline of events of Aryan Khan’s case

The Aryan Khan’s case of the cruise ship raid is still developing. During the raid, Aryan Khan, the son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was apprehended by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) squad, along with numerous others. The 23-year-old was apprehended after an NCB operation on a cruise ship on October 2 yielded drugs for the agency. After the raid on Saturday, he was imprisoned and then arrested the next day.

*NCB busts rave party on a cruise ship*

On October 2 night, a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) crew busted an alleged narcotics party on the Cordelia Cruise ship, which was on its route to Goa. During a raid on a high-profile party held on a cruise in Mumbai, the NCB apprehended at least ten people.

On the basis of a tip, the NCB crew boarded the ship disguised as passengers, according to reports. After obtaining information that a drug party would be held on the cruise ship, the anti-drugs agency maintained a tight eye on the event for 15-20 days.

Following a raid on the Cordelia Cruises company’s Goa-bound ship on October 3, the NCB arrested Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and seven others, including two women, after being detained and questioned for hours.

Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar were among the apprehended suspects, in addition to Aryan Khan.

Various popular party drugs such as cocaine, MDMA, ecstasy, mephedrone, and charas were found during the raid, according to the NCB. The cocaine weighed 13 grammes, the charas 21 grammes, the MDMA pills 22 pills, and the MD five grammes.

Aryan Khan has been charged under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act’s sections 27 (penalty for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance), 8C (produce, make, possess, sell, or purchase of drugs), and other relevant provisions (NDPS).

*Aryan Khan has been taken into custody by the NCB*

Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were taken to a Mumbai court by the NCB, who wanted two-day imprisonment until October 5. On the evening of October 3, Aryan and others were brought before the court. Aryan Khan was defended by senior lawyer Satish Manshinde. They were remanded in the custody of the NCB until October 4.

On Monday, October 4, the Esplanade Court in Mumbai sentenced Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha to the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) custody till October 7.

On October 6, a Mumbai court ordered four more people to be held in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody until October 14 after they were arrested in connection with a drug seizure on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

NCB detained Gopal Jee Anand, Samir Sehgal, Manav Singhal, and Bhaskar Arora on Tuesday, and they were brought before the court. Meanwhile, the court on October 5 remanded four others — Abdul Qadir Sheikh, Shreyas Nair, Manish Darya, and Avin Sahu — to NCB detention until October 11.

In connection with a drug arrest on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai, a Mumbai court on October 7 ordered Aryan Khan and seven others to be held in judicial custody for 14 days.

After producing him before the Esplanade Magistrate court, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) escorted Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan to its Mumbai office. Because the jail would not take new inmates at this hour, the accused will be held in judicial custody at the NCB office until Friday, October 8.

According to Mumbai NCB Director, 18 people have been arrested so far, including a Nigerian national.

On October 8, Mumbai Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Sameer Wankhede, told news agency ANI that a total of 18 people, including a Nigerian national, had been arrested in connection with the seizure of drugs at a party on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

*Aryan Khan’s bail plea rejected in drugs case*

Aryan Khan’s bail application was denied on October 8. Satish Manshinde, a senior advocate, pleaded in court on behalf of Aryan Khan, claiming that no forbidden material was discovered in his presence. However, the bail applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were denied by Mumbai’s Esplanade Court after hearing all arguments from the Additional Solicitor General and lawyers representing the accused. The apps were not maintainable, according to the order.
