Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and famous interior designer Gauri Khan, was remanded to the Arthur Road prison in Mumbai on Friday after a court denied him bail in a drug seizure case. The other men caught in the case were also transferred to the same jail, while two women accused in the crime, including Munmun Dhamecha, were taken to Byculla women’s prison, according to a police official.

A video of Gauri Khan crying in her car went viral on the internet after the court’s decision. Aryan was seen in the video remaining calm as he was brought away in a police cruiser. Gauri, on the other hand, was curled up in the back seat, her hand protecting her face as the cameras captured her reaction to the verdict.
Gauri’s birthday was also on October 8th. The mother of three, who has been following the issue attentively and pursuing all legal avenues to free her eldest son, has also received support from her industry friends. On Friday, several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Richa Chadha, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, comedian Johnny Lever, and actress Raveena Tandon, spoke out to show their support for the power couple and to send them their love and strength in these tough times.

After their NCB remand expired on Friday, a Mumbai judge denied Aryan’s bail request and sentenced him and the others to 14 days in judicial detention. Aryan is likely to spend the weekend in the Sessions Court’s two jails’ quarantine cells. Sources told PTI that they will not receive any special treatment inside the prison.
