NCP leader Nawab Malik accused the BJP of being involved in the drugs-on-cruise case and the arrest of Aryan Khan on Wednesday. He questioned the appearance of ‘BJP supporters’ in images and videos that went viral after Aryan’s arrest during a news conference in Mumbai.
A photo of Aryan Khan with an unidentified individual went viral, with many people speculating on social media that he was an NCB official. However, the NCB later confirmed that he was not a member of the anti-drug organisation. Malik has now claimed that the individual in the photograph is a BJP member. A person named Manish Bhanushali is seen with Aryan at the NCB headquarters in another video. According to a report by Mid-Day, the NCP leader claimed Manushali is also a BJP supporter. Malik further claimed that the ‘panchnama’ had been tampered with and that no narcotics had been discovered.
A Mumbai court, on Monday, granted the custody of Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drugs case, to the NCB till October 7. After raiding a cruise ship in Mumbai and busting a drugs party, the NCB detained Aryan Khan and seven others. Later on, they were detained.
