Featuring Sharvari and Abhay Verma, this horror-comedy has emerged as a powerhouse at the box office, raking in a staggering Rs 90 crore within a mere three weeks.

Abhay Verma, riding high on the wave of success, recently disclosed an intriguing twist that left Shraddha Kapoor thankful.

During a recent conversation with Mid-day, Abhay revealed that his character was initially conceived for a female lead. “It was supposed to be played by Shraddha Kapoor, and before her, by Alia Bhatt,” Abhay shared candidly. The character underwent multiple transformations for four to five years, marking Abhay as a rare male lead who replaced potential female leads.

Stree Actress THANKED Abhay Verma For This Reason

During a celebratory bash hosted by the Munjya team, Abhay crossed paths with Shraddha Kapoor, leading to a memorable exchange.

Recounting the moment to HT City, the 25-year-old actor recalled Shraddha expressing her gratitude in Hindi, saying, “Thanks tune mera naam liya interviews mein because main itne ache project se associated hona chahti thi.” Abhay’s acknowledgement of Shraddha in his interviews evidently struck a chord with the actress, linking her name with the film in a meaningful way.

Munjya Actor Talks About His Encounter With Varun

Reflecting on his newfound fame, Abhay recalled encountering Varun Dhawan at the event, praising him as both gentlemanly and supportive. Varun’s encouraging words about making a significant impact among the new generation of actors left a profound impression on Abhay. “The way he hugged me and said those things, it felt like family—a family I wanted to be a part of,” Abhay shared warmly.

Adjusting to his sudden rise to stardom post-Munjya, Abhay admitted that the journey has been entirely unexpected.
