With The Paradise set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 24, 2026, Nani’s big-ticket film has landed an important legal win just ahead of opening day. A Bengaluru civil court has stepped in with interim protection after the producers flagged what they described as a coordinated online campaign targeting the film.
The order was passed after producer Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP moved court over a series of posts that surfaced after the trailer launched on August 6. The producers argued that the material was not routine audience criticism. They told the court it was a deliberate attempt to damage the film’s reputation and affect its box office prospects.
Court Restricts Specific Harmful Posts
The Bengaluru civil court directed X Corp and other online entities to remove the specific links identified by the producers in their plaint. The injunction is limited to those URLs alone and does not extend to fair reviews, genuine public opinion, or bona fide criticism of the film.
That limited scope gives the order its significance. It draws a line between protected audience response and content the producers say was designed to maliciously target the film before release. The matter is next scheduled to be heard on October 28.
The Release Stakes Around The Paradise
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise marks his second collaboration with Nani after Dasara. The film features Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni, Easwari Rao and Sampoornesh Babu, and has been mounted as a large-scale Telugu title with a multi-language rollout.
Promotional material has positioned the film in a dark, intense space, with Nani playing Jadal. The makers have also held back key plot details, helping build curiosity around the project as it heads into theatres under unusually close online scrutiny.
