Rajesh Khanna’s Granddaughter Naomika Saran Locks Bollywood Debut With Vedang Raina In Maddock Films’ Jaan Hai Tu Meri

Another storied Bollywood bloodline is ready for its close-up. Naomika Saran, granddaughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, is stepping into the movies with Jaan Hai Tu Meri, a Maddock Films production that pairs her with Vedang Raina in what is shaping up to be one of the more closely watched young launches on the horizon.

The project carries instant curiosity value, but its appeal goes beyond a famous surname. Jaan Hai Tu Meri is directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, whose storytelling has struck a chord with mainstream audiences, and it places Naomika opposite Vedang at a moment when he is quickly becoming one of the industry’s most watched young actors. The film has taken shape as a romantic comedy thriller, giving the debut a contemporary commercial frame rather than a conventional soft-focus launch.

Naomika Saran Steps Into A High-Visibility Launch

With Jaan Hai Tu Meri, Naomika enters Hindi cinema in a film backed by Maddock Films, directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, and mounted opposite Vedang Raina. That combination gives her debut immediate visibility, placing her inside a youth-facing mainstream project with a studio that has built a strong track record for packaging new age stories with commercial flair.

Jaan-Hai-Tu-Meri

The title itself has added to the film’s early intrigue. Rather than introducing Naomika through a simple romance, the makers have positioned Jaan Hai Tu Meri as a romantic comedy thriller, giving the project a more dynamic identity. For a debutante carrying a legacy surname, that matters. The film is not framed as a nostalgic handoff, but as a contemporary launch with clear market positioning and a co-star who already has strong recall among younger audiences.

The Film’s Tone And Team

That is also what makes the project stand out within the current theatrical space. Jaan Hai Tu Meri is not being pitched as a straightforward love story. It is built around a romance with a more layered dramatic engine, which gives the film a tonal edge and a sharper hook for audiences looking for more than a glossy meet-cute.

Jagdeep Sidhu’s involvement adds another interesting dimension. His work has often balanced warmth, emotion and accessibility, and that sensibility now flows into a Hindi film introducing a new face while pairing her with an actor already on an upward curve. Produced by Maddock Films, the project remains unreleased as of March 2026 and has already emerged as a closely watched addition to the studio’s youth-driven slate.

Why Vedang Raina Makes This Pairing Pop

Vedang Raina made his screen debut with The Archies in 2023, Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix musical adaptation, where he played Reggie Mantle. He followed that with Jigra in 2024, directed by Vasan Bala and headlined by Alia Bhatt, taking on a prominent role in the prison break drama.

His line-up has kept the momentum going. Vedang is also part of Imtiaz Ali’s next feature, a period love story starring Diljit Dosanjh and Sharvari. That run gives Jaan Hai Tu Meri an added layer of appeal. Naomika may be the new entrant, but she is debuting opposite an actor who already brings freshness, visibility and a growing fan base, making this pairing feel especially timely.
