Nayanthara, the leading lady of South Indian cinema, won the Best Actress award for her performance in Jawan at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024. The actress shared a video on her Instagram account, showing her receiving the award from none other than Shah Rukh Khan, the co-star and producer of Jawan.
Jawan, directed by Atlee, was a blockbuster action thriller that featured Shah Rukh Khan in a double role and Nayanthara as a dedicated cop. The film was praised for its gripping storyline, stunning visuals, and stellar performances by the lead actors. The film also marked Nayanthara’s Bollywood debut and her first collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan.

In her acceptance speech, Nayanthara thanked Shah Rukh Khan for his love and respect while doing Jawan. She also said it took her 20 years and 75 films to reach here. In her acceptance speech she not only thanked Shah Rukh Khan but all the people in her life that helped her, supported her in her stellar journey of acting and showbiz.
Nayanthara also thanked her fans and followers for their love and support, and dedicated the award to them. She wrote in her caption, “Kalaikum Kadhalukum Nandri ❤️ Anbukum Andavanukum Nandri (Thank you for all the love and love ❤️ Thanks for the love and God )”
Nayanthara has been one of the most successful and versatile actresses in the South Indian film industry, with a number of women-centric films to her credit. She has also worked with some of the biggest stars and directors in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. She is currently working on several projects, including Annaatthe, Netrikann, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, and Superstar. She is also rumored to be part of Atlee’s next film with Shah Rukh Khan.

Additionally, Nayanthara shared a picture on her Instagram story, where she can be seen standing next to Shah Rukh Khan after accepting the award. She wrote, “Thank uuu @iamsrk sirrr For the love n honour.” The picture went viral on social media, as fans of both the stars showered them with compliments and wishes.
