Bollywood’s creative pulse is accelerating in 2025, with a fresh roster of on‑screen pairs igniting new interest. Leading the charge is Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the socially charged Dhadak 2, soon followed by Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in Param Sundari. Meanwhile, horror, comedy and romance converge as Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika gear up for Thama. Add rising stars Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani starring in Chand Mera Dil, and the season promises a vibrant blend of emotions and narratives.

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s raw chemistry in Dhadak 2

Set to release on August 1, 2025, Dhadak 2 reunites Siddhant and Triptii under Dharma Productions for a Hindi adaptation of Pariyerum Perumal. A recent statement from producer Karan Johar confirmed that despite the success of Saiyaara, the release remains unchanged, highlighting confidence in early audience reactions.

The trailer of Dhadak 2 showcases a raw and emotionally charged chemistry between Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, set against a backdrop of caste conflict and young rebellion. Their quiet, intense bond is further elevated by the film’s music especially “Bas Ek Dhadak” and “Preet Re” which rely on glances and silences over melodrama, making their connection feel intimate and deeply affecting.

Directorially led by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 takes on caste discrimination and love, already generating buzz.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s pairing in the upcoming vampire comedy Thama has already caught the audience’s attention for its fresh and unexpected chemistry. Set against an absurd yet entertaining supernatural backdrop, Thama promises a never-seen-before dynamic between the two, combining romantic tension with laugh-out-loud horror moments.

Young duo: Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani in Chand Mera Dil

Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani mark their first on‑screen pairing, in the Dharma Productions film Chand Mera Dil, directed by Vivek Soni. Set for release later this year, the film is expected to showcase youthful romance and a fresh narrative voice in mainstream cinema.

This season’s lineup reflects Bollywood’s desire to balance narrative depth with marketable dynamics.
