Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has revealed a new poster for Pushpa 2: The Rule, heightening the excitement for the upcoming sequel.
The poster reveals a fierce face-off between Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj and Fahadh Faasil as a gritty Haryanvi cop. Set in dark crimson hues, it teases a thrilling, action-filled clash.
Pushpa 2 Makers Deop New Poster As They Begin Release Countdown
The poster’s release marks a one-month countdown to the film’s premiere, now set for 5 December. Originally scheduled for August, the release date was pushed to December to take advantage of the holiday box-office season.
Sharing the poster, they wrote, “One month to go for #Pushpa2TheRule ❤🔥 Prepare yourself – THE BIGGEST INDIAN FILM of the year is set to take the theatres by storm in a month 💥💥 TRAILER EXPLODING SOON.”
The film’s release is also timed just before Chhaava, a historical drama featuring Vicky Kaushal as Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In an interesting crossover, Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna, who returns as Srivalli in Pushpa 2.
Pushpa 2’s Record-Breaking Pre-Sales Overseas
Fans, particularly overseas, are eagerly awaiting Pushpa 2, with advance bookings already showing strong numbers. According to Track BO, the movie has already made over $300,000 in the United States.
With 606 locations open for bookings, nearly 11,000 tickets have been sold across 2,325 shows, bringing in about Rs 2.65 crore for the premiere alone. Bookings for India have yet to open, adding to the anticipation for fans at home.
Pushpa 2 is expected to either meet or exceed the success of the first film, which made a total of Rs 267 crore, including Rs 106 crore from the Hindi-dubbed version. Distributor Anil Thadani is said to have secured the North India distribution rights for an impressive Rs 200 crore, highlighting the strong expectations for the sequel.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 reunites popular cast members Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj. The movie is set to go head-to-head with Chhaava in a much-anticipated box-office battle, building excitement for the return of Allu Arjun’s beloved Pushpa Raj character.
