Samantha is ready to move on with her life after announcing two bilingual films in a row. According to rumours, she was the top choice for Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan, directed by Atlee. Samantha, on the other hand, turned down the film since she was expecting a child with Naga Chaitanya. After Samantha declined the part, it was offered to Nayanthara, who is presently filming in Mumbai.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya declared their separation as wife and husband on October 2. Irreconcilable issues brought the couple’s four-year marriage to an end. However, neither of them has spoken publicly about the grounds behind their divorce.
Samantha was reportedly the first option for Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s Jawaan, according to sources. The actor has a good working relationship with director Atlee, having previously collaborated with him on Theri and Mersal. Samantha reportedly declined the opportunity since she was expecting a child with Naga Chaitanya.
Samantha and the Jawaan producers have yet to give a word on the matter. Nayanthara was later cast in the role, and she is presently filming in Mumbai.
Samantha was ready to have a baby with Naga Chaitanya, according to Shaakuntalam producer Neelima Guna in an interview with The News Minute. She further stated that the actress urged that the Shaakuntalam team finish filming as quickly as possible.
Neelima said, “Last year itself, when my father director Gunasekhar garu and I approached Samantha for Shaakuntalam, she loved the story and was very excited by it, but she told us that if she were to accept the role, the shooting should be completed by maximum July/August this year. She informed me that she was planning to start a family and that she wants to become a mother and that it would be her priority.”
Samantha is now working on Shaakuntalam and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, both of which are in various states of completion. Shantharuban and Hari-Harish, respectively, have just signed her for Tamil-Telugu bilingual films.
