The fans of Pankaj Tripathi are in for a treat as his upcoming film ‘Kadak Singh‘ is all set to release on ZEE5, the streaming platform announced on Thursday. The film, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury of ‘Pink‘ and ‘Lost‘ fame, is a gripping thriller that follows the journey of AK Shrivastav, played by Tripathi, who suffers from retrograde amnesia and tries to unravel the truth behind a financial crime.

The makers also revealed the first look poster of the film, which features Tripathi in a serious and intense avatar, holding a gun in his hand. The poster also has the tagline ‘The truth is a lie’. The film also stars Sanjana Sanghi as Tripathi’s daughter, who helps him in his quest.

Kadak Singh is a special film that explores the responsibility of a government official towards the common people, said Chowdhury in a statement. He also praised Tripathi and Sanghi for their performances and said that he was in a paradise full of great actors and collaborators. He added that the film is also about a dysfunctional family that becomes functional after a series of events leading to a rollercoaster of emotions.
Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 India, said that they are excited to bring another direct-to-digital release featuring the national award-winning director-actor duo of Chowdhury and Tripathi. He said that this is their second collaboration with Chowdhury and third with Tripathi and they are looking forward to the release of ‘Kadak Singh‘ on ZEE5 later this year.
Viraf Sarkari, producer and director of Wiz Films, thanked the cast and crew of ‘Kadak Singh‘ for their love and support. He said that he had been developing this film for 12 years and he was happy to finally realise his dream. He hoped that the audiences would enjoy watching the film as much as they did while making it.
‘Kadak Singh‘ also features Jaya Ahsan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja and Varun Buddhadev in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Wiz Films, HT Content Studio, and KVN and co-produced by Shyam Sunder and Indrani Mukherjee.
