Finally, stalwarts Mammootty and Mohanlal’s posters from their upcoming film Patriot have been revealed. While Mammootty revealed Mohanlal’s poster on Twitter, Thudarum actor unveiled the poster of the Kalamkaval star.
The makers of the Malayalam movie have been teasing viewers with the posters of its lead actors from the morning of January 25, 2026, and saving the best for last. We have already seen the posters of Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara and the fans are claiming that they have decoded the release date of the Mahesh Narayanan film.
What Mammootty And Mohanlal Poster Indicate
Patriot is a much-anticipated Malayalam film, marking the reunion of the big Ms of Mollywood after more than a decade. Along with releasing the posters of the film, Mohanlal and Mammootty have also teased that a bigger announcement is on the way. “Set your reminder Tomorrow | 10:10 AM Stay tuned…”, both their captions stated. Though it is not known what the announcement would be, it could be a release date or trailer announcement.
The first poster to be released from the movie was that of Nayanthara, followed by Rajiv Menon. The next poster updates saw Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Faasil. None of the posters had character names but featured the same color tone, with the actors striking a sombre pose, highlighting the serious nature of the movie, touted to be a spy thriller. All the posters also had the same caption “Dissent is patriotic, In a world full of traitors, be a Patriot !!.”

Patriot, starring Mammootty in the lead role with Mohanlal, is set to release in theatres in April 2026. The makers are yet to spell out an exact date, but netizens have been insisting that April 23 is the release date, claiming to have decoded the ‘Morse code’ seen in the posters.
April is shaping up to be an important month for Malayalam releases, as the first week will see the release of Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal. Vaazha 2, the sequel to the popular Vaazha, will also be released on the same date.
The Patriot teaser released earlier had hinted that the upcoming film will revolve around a plan to impose social scores for people, and the attempts to resist it. The teaser showed Fahadh Faasil’s character speaking about two powerful people, who once ‘ruled’ the country. Mammootty plays Dr Daniel James, who now needs to clear his name after some damning allegations, while Mohanlal is seen as Colonel Rahim.
