Phone Bhoot Movie Review: Funny Dialogues And Ishaan Khattar Failed To Save Film Full Of Poor VFX And Inconsistent Screenplay!

It has amateur script and funny dialogues. However, direction is average and VFX is pathetic.

Gurmmeet Singh directed Phone Bhoot stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khattar, Jackie Shroff. It’s a 1 hour 21 min horror film released today. With Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani as producers, Excel Entertainment has worked on its production.

Plot

The film has Katrina playing a ghost and Siddhant, Ishaan as hunters. Siddhant acts as Sherdil Shergill aka Major, while Ishaan acts as Galileo Parthasarthy aka Guru. They altogether set on a fun and terrifying  journey with an idea of a business plan. The duo wants to mint money out of their love for ghosts. In an unfortunate scene, all their business ideas don’t work. However, they don’t stop trying and they host a ‘Moksha Party’.

Analysis

Ishaan fails to save the horror-comedy movie as he manages to entertain the audiences with dialogues, Siddhant is clueless and Katrina seems unenthusiastic with a boring performance.

Verdict

It has amateur script but funny dialogues. However, direction is average and VFX is pathetic. The background score is tasteless and attempts hard to be cool. There are minuscule loopholes and the second-half is predictable. The editing is upto the mark.

Film will open best out of all releases today but that is hardly an achievement as it will find it tough to cross 3-3.5 cr on day one and 15 cr lifetime.
