Pippa: First look of Ishaan Khatter-Mrunal Thakur’s film is out, shooting begins!

The film will remember a tank battle that resulted in Bangladesh's freedom.

The makers of Pippa released the first look of the film featuring Ishaan Khatter as Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The film about the Indo-Pakistan War, which is now under production.

Producers Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur of Roy Kapur Films are behind the project. They confirmed that the majority of the actors and staff had been completely vaccinated, and the production has now been able to begin due to the relaxation of Covid restrictions. The film is being directed by Krishna Menon.

The film will remember a tank battle that resulted in Bangladesh’s freedom. The story follows Brigadier Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank unit who fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 with his siblings.

The real-life Brigadier Mehta was invited to give the first slate clap when filming began by the production houses. Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Soni Razdan also star in the film in pivotal roles.
