Yash Raj Films’ Pathaan, produced by Aditya Chopra & directed by Siddharth Anand, is a historic all-time blockbuster. It is the highest grossing film worldwide in the history of Hindi cinema with over 1050 crore gross at the global box office!
While talking to YouTube channel The Lallantop, senior actor and lyricist Piyush Mishra heaped praised charisma of Shah Rukh and attributed success of Pathaan to superstar.
“Pathaan ko aap kharaab film keh do lekin wo dekhi gayi. Chalayi Shah Rukh Khan ne, uska apna charisma hai, uska apna charm hai, jab usko itna boycott kiya gaya tha lekin fir bhi chal gayi film. Boycott se koi fark nahi padta. Picture acchi hogi to chalegi”.

The film which stars the biggest global superstar of Indian cinema, Shah Rukh Khan, will now become the first Hindi film to release in Bangladesh post partition! It is set to release on May 12th in Bangladesh.

Shah Rukh Khan Starrer will release in two days time in Bangladesh on 12th May. Pathaan will release in 41 cinema halls and in 198 shows in Bangladesh which is higher that compared to Hollywood biggie Gurdian of the Galaxy, Evil Dead & 8 other regional films.

Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster movie Pathaan is set to make history with its theatrical release in Bangladesh on May 12, 2023. This is the first time since the country’s formation in 1971 that a Hindi-language Bollywood film will be released in Bangladesh. The decision to allow Hindi-language films to release in Bangladesh was made by a consortium of 19 Bangladesh film associations in February 2023.
They suggested that 10 films release a year, and Pathaan is first of them. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand of War fame and produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner, Yash Raj Films. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, with John Abraham as the antagonist and Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
The release of Pathaan in Bangladesh is significant as Bollywood movies have been prohibited from screening in local cinemas since the country gained independence in 1972. The decision to allow Hindi-language films to release in Bangladesh was met with protests in the past, but the consortium’s decision to allow 10 films to release a year is a positive step towards promoting cultural exchange between the two countries.
