Prabhas Fauzi Teaser Sparks Backlash Over Subhash Chandra Bose And Hitler Scene

Prabhas’ birthday reveal for Fauzi has landed with the kind of attention most big-star films aim for, but the conversation around it has quickly turned divided. The first video asset from Hanu Raghavapudi’s period action drama has sparked backlash online after it staged a conversation between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Adolf Hitler to build up Prabhas’ character.

The teaser, branded as File No. 25, positions Prabhas as a rebel operative during the freedom struggle, but the Bose-Hitler exchange has become the focal point of the response. While fans welcomed the star’s intense screen presence and the film’s wartime scale, a strong section of viewers objected to the use of a revered historical figure in a hero-introduction device.

Why The Fauzi Teaser Drew Heat

Set against the backdrop of the 1930s and 1940s, the video frames Prabhas’ character as an Indian spy aiding the Indian National Army. In the sequence, Bose describes the protagonist’s exploits against the British and compares his code system favourably to the Nazis’ Enigma, with Hitler shown reacting with curiosity. That staging has drawn criticism for turning a charged historical moment into a star-elevation set piece. Much of the online pushback has centred on the feeling that the teaser blurs the line between patriotic fiction and real political history in a way that feels tonally awkward, with some viewers also objecting to the exaggerated dialogue and the visual treatment of Hitler.

Fauzi Release Date And Cast Details

The teaser also confirms Fauzi for a theatrical release on March 19, 2027. Hanu Raghavapudi directs the project, with Mythri Movie Makers producing and T-Series Films presenting it.

The cast includes Prabhas, Imanvi, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada. From its first glimpse, Fauzi is clearly aiming for a large-scale pre-Independence action drama built around espionage and rebellion. The strong reaction to the teaser matters even more because every Prabhas project now arrives with outsized expectations, and each creative choice is measured against the scale and impact associated with his recent big-screen run.

Prabhas Career Context

Prabhas has spent the past few years firmly in the event-film space. He headlined Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire in 2023, followed that with Kalki 2898 AD in 2024, and returned with The RajaSaab in 2026, a run that has kept him positioned as one of Indian cinema’s biggest theatrical draws.

That makes Fauzi a notable addition to his slate because it places him in a historical-fiction setting rather than a purely futuristic or mass-action world. Beyond this film, another major confirmed project in his lineup is Spirit, scheduled for release on October 29, 2027. Taken together, the choices suggest Prabhas is continuing to favour high-concept, large-canvas films, while Fauzi attempts to give that image a more politically charged period backdrop.
