Prahaar Release: How Ritvik Sahore Went From A Stree Fan Moment To Playing Rajkummar Rao’s Son

Some full-circle moments in cinema feel too neat to be scripted, and Ritvik Sahore has just lived one of them. Years after nervously walking up to Rajkummar Rao for a picture at the Stree success party, the young actor is now sharing screen space with him in Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, where he plays Aniket Nikam, the son of Rajkummar’s Ujjwal Nikam. The film is slated for a theatrical release on October 16, 2026, giving that old fan memory an especially timely emotional payoff.

Ritvik’s memory of that first meeting goes back to a party he attended with Aparshakti Khurana. At the time, he was simply a fan hoping to click a photograph with an actor he deeply admired. Years later, that picture has taken on a new meaning after the two found themselves working together on the same film.

Ritvik Sahore Calls It A Full Circle Moment

Recalling the journey, Ritvik Sahore says, “It’s crazy how life comes full circle in the most unexpected ways. I remember going to the Stree success party with Aparshakti, who is a very dear friend of mine and had taken me along. I remember seeing Rajkummar there and thinking how much I admired his work. I’ve always been a huge fan of his, but I’m also quite shy, so I had to really gather the courage to go up and ask him for a picture. I remember thinking, ‘I hope I get to work with him someday.’”

He added, “A few years later, I got to play his son in Prahaar. Working with him was honestly such a special experience. He’s an incredible actor, but more than that, he’s a genuinely good human being. He’s so warm and giving, and I learnt a lot just by watching him. He’d be joking around and having fun on set, and the moment the camera came on, he’d just become Ujjwal Nikam. That was really inspiring to see.”

The actor also shared how the old photograph came back into conversation on set. “I had told him about that picture from the Stree party, and he suggested we recreate it. So when we did that on the sets of Prahaar, it genuinely felt like a full-circle moment. And then getting to work with him again on Dada was just the cherry on top. I really couldn’t have asked for more.”

That personal memory now folds neatly into a film that places Ritvik in one of his more emotionally rooted parts to date.

Prahaar Cast And Film Details

Directed by Avinash Arun, Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam is a Hindi biographical legal drama releasing in theatres on October 16, 2026. Rajkummar Rao headlines the film as Ujjwal Nikam, with Ritvik Sahore, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Ashish Vidyarthi, Lalit Prabhakar and Sikandar Kher featuring in key roles.

Inspired by the life and work of public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, the film also gives Ritvik a character thread tied closely to the personal side of the story through his role as Aniket Nikam.

Ritvik Sahore’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ritvik began early with Ferrari Ki Sawaari and Dangal, and over the years has steadily moved from child roles into a more defined young-adult screen space. Shows such as Flames, Indori Ishq, Campus Diaries and Jamnapaar helped establish him as a familiar face in stories centered on friendship, romance and growing pains, giving him a strong footing in the streaming era.

That progression makes his current phase especially interesting. With Prahaar, he steps into a more intimate family dynamic within a larger biographical drama, while Dada adds a sports biopic to his slate. Together, the two films signal a broader stretch in genre and screen presence for the actor.
