The whole country went into shock on Sunday when the news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide broke. The Chhichhore star took his last breath at his Mumbai residence on June 14.

As per the initial reports, the 34-year-old actor was suffering from depression for quite some time. While his fans and followers were in shock and grief once again debate on nepotism that prevails in Bollywood went on fire. The debate of how an outsider goes through a lot of struggle in the industry went on.

Adding on the topic actor-politician Prakash Raj took to Twitter to share an old video of Sushant Singh Rajput, in which he talks about nepotism. He also shared how he had to go through this in the past and the scars are still there.

The Singham actor wrote, “#nepotism I have lived through this .. I have survived … my wounds are deeper than my flesh ..but this child #SushantSinghRajput couldn’t.. will WE learn .. will WE really stand up and not let such dreams die #justasking (sic).”

In the video that Prakash Raj shared, Sushant Singh Rajput says, “Nepotism is everywhere. It’s not just in Bollywood. But at the same time if you deliberately don’t allow right talents to come up, then there is a problem. Then the whole structure of the industry would collapse one day.”

Sushant was last seen in Chhichhore, which released in September 2019. His film, Dil Bechara, based on John Green’s novel The Fault in Our Stars, is slated to release on an OTT platform soon. It was initially set to release in November 2019, which couldn’t happen due to several reasons. However, his fans are now demanding to release the film on the big screen they are also trending #DilBecharaOnBigScreen on twitter.
