Bollywood filmmaker Priyadarshan had earlier announced the remake of his hit comedy Hungama. The second installment will have Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Meezaan Jaffrey. In a recent talk with a tabloid, the director revealed that he has approached actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan for the film, however, both turned it down.
Although the director did not meet any actors personally actors including Ayushmann, Kartik Aaryan, and even Sidharth Malhotra were narrated the story.
Priyadarshan, who is making a come back after five years, said the actors might have found him outdated. That is the reason they refused to do the film. The filmmaker then approached Javed Jaffrey’s son Meezaan to do the film. Meezaan Jaffrey made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production Malaal last year.
Ayushmann and Kartik both are known for there successful comedy films they have delivered in the past.
While Priyadarshan has given some successful comedy films in his career like Virasat, Hera Pheri, Hulchul, Chup Chup Ke and Bhool Bhulaiyaa in Bollywood.
