Actress Priyamani is currently basking in the success of consecutive hits. Fresh off the success of Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee, she’s now revelling in the acclaim for her role in the recently released biographical drama Maidaan, where she portrays Ajay Devgn’s wife. In a candid interview post the film’s release, Priyamani shared interesting stories from her experiences working with Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking to Galatta Plus, Priyamani reminisced about her first encounter with the Bollywood icon on the sets of Jawan. Recalling a late-night shoot at Film City, she revealed how Shah Rukh’s fondness for shooting during the night mirrored that of Atlee, the director. “We were shooting from 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning. I guess Shah Rukh likes shooting at night. So does Atlee sir,” she quipped.
Priyamani Talks About Surprise Meetup With Shah Rukh Khan
The actress went on to narrate a surprise encounter with Shah Rukh Khan that left her and her fellow cast members in awe. “We got a call at about 7. We thought it was Atlee sir who wanted to meet us. But to our surprise, it was Shah Rukh Khan himself waiting for us,” Priyamani shared with a smile.
Recalling the gracious gesture of Shah Rukh Khan, Priyamani said, “He expressed his gratitude, saying, ‘Thank you so much for doing the film.’ What else do you need? I mean, when he says, ‘Thank you so much. I’m so happy you guys are part of the film,’ I said, ‘Sir, anything for you’.”
Shah Rukh Khan Sent A Car Of Bodyguards To Protect Jawan Girls
Priyamani also shared a touching incident from Atlee sir’s birthday celebration in Chennai. “It was about 3 or 4 in the morning. We girls were leaving for the hotel, and Shah Rukh came to see us off individually. He even arranged for a car with bodyguards to follow us until we reached safely. We said, “You can go.” They said, “No, these are special instructions given by Sir. We have to see you off,” she recounted, reflecting on Shah Rukh’s thoughtful gesture.
