Actress Priyamani recently shared her experience of discovering that she would be featured in a song for Shah Rukh Khan‘s movie Chennai Express. According to her, while she was in Bangalore, she received an unexpected phone call from Rohit Shetty‘s office. Initially, she was skeptical and believed it could be a prank. To confirm the legitimacy of the call, she asked her manager to verify the details.
Once Priyamani received the confirmation and realized that the phone call was genuine, she was taken aback by the revelation. Her excitement soared when she discovered that she had been offered an opportunity to be part of a song in the movie Chennai Express, starring the iconic Shah Rukh Khan. Filled with overwhelming joy and the prospect of meeting her idol, Priyamani eagerly made her way to Mumbai for the meeting. Upon arriving at Rohit Shetty’s office, she was greeted warmly, and the director provided a detailed explanation of the song’s specifics. In the song titled “One Two Three Four,” Priyamani had the privilege of sharing the screen with none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
During an interview, Priyamani expressed her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, describing him as incredibly kind and down-to-earth. She considered him to be the sweetest person she had ever met. Priyamani recounted a moment during the shoot when they had to repeat certain dance steps multiple times. Shah Rukh Khan, displaying his considerate nature, said, “No, no darling, you go sit down, I will do it.’ I said, ‘No, sir, I’m okay. I love dancing, so I don’t mind dancing how many times you want me to dance. I can dance, no issues at all.’ Those were the best five nights of my life.”
When discussing the enjoyable moments on the set, Priyamani shared that while they didn’t have extended conversations, they had fun playing the game Kaun Banega Crorepati on Shah Rukh Khan’s iPad. During their game session, Shah Rukh Khan even handed her Rs 200 as she correctly answered the questions, resulting in her victory.
Priyamani further commended the tireless efforts and commitment shown by Shah Rukh Khan. She expressed her admiration by highlighting that while most people would prefer to rest and sleep after finishing work late at night or early in the morning, Shah Rukh Khan would utilize that time to continue practicing. After wrapping up the shoot and calling it a day, he would enlist the help of one of the assistants and dedicate extra hours to practice, either on the sets or in his room.
Priyamani’s Upcoming Film
In the upcoming film Jawan, Priyamani is set to appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The movie is directed by Atlee and features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles as well.
