R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh are back on screen together for an upcoming rom-com. We revealed about R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s collaboration for a Netflix rom-com movie. Fresh updates on the film have now emerged.
R Madhavan & Fatima Sana Shaikh’s Film Titled Aap Jaisa Koi
The film, which has been the subject of much speculation, was initially believed to be titled Tharki. However, a fresh report from Bollywood Hungama confirms that the film will instead be called Aap Jaisa Koi. This title is a nod to the iconic song from the 1980 film Qurbani & adds a touch of nostalgia to the project.
The romantic comedy, directed by Vivek Soni, explores the modern-day world of dating. Madhavan plays a man in his mid-40s, still a virgin, who meets a young woman on a dating app. The film promises to be a light-hearted, yet meaningful, exploration of relationships in today’s world.
According to sources close to the project, the title Aap Jaisa Koi is a perfect fit for the storyline, while also evoking fond memories of the 80s classic.
Film To Release On Netflix Under Dharmatic Entertainment
The film went on floors in Mumbai a few weeks ago, with plans to shoot in Kolkata in December. The story also stars Namit Das and Karan Wahi in significant roles.
Aap Jaisa Koi will be released on Netflix under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, while another film by the same director, Chand Mera Dil, featuring Ananya Panday, will be released in theatres under Dharma Productions.
