On Monday, a new poster for the upcoming film Radhe Shyam was launched in honour of Krishna Janmashtami 2021. Pooja Hegde is seen playing the piano on the poster while Prabhas keeps an eye on her. She’s trailed by a trail of peacock feathers.

“As we celebrate Janmashtami, let Vikramaditya and Prerna teach you a new meaning of love! Here’s wishing you all a very Happy Janmashtami! (sic),” tweeted Pooja Hegde, while sharing the poster.

The film is presently in pre-production, with a release date set for January of next year.

“We have worked very hard and left no stone unturned in ensuring that we bring audiences a theatrical experience they won’t forget. Radhe Shyam comes to theatres on 14th January 2022 and we are so excited to present the poster of the film on a special day like Janmashtami,” said director Radha Krishna Kumar.

The film was set to hit theatres in July of this year. However, due to the second wave of coronavirus, the production was delayed, causing the producers to postpone the release date. During the Sankranti festival, Radhe Shyam will be released in theatres alongside Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Pawan Kalyan’s untitled film, which is the official remake of Malayalam smash Ayyappanum Koshiyum.

Meanwhile, Prabhas is filming both Saalar and Adipurush at the same time. On the other hand, Pooja Hegde is working on Tamil actor Vijay’s forthcoming flick Beast, which would be released on Sankranti next year.
