This role is a big shift from his usual performances, setting up a high-stakes battle with Ajay Devgn’s Amay Patnaik. The film will hit cinemas on May 1, 2025.

The first look poster of Riteish’s character was dropped today and shows the actor in an intense and commanding look. He stands among a crowd of protesters, his face full of anger and determination.
Wearing a brown Nehru jacket over a grey kurta, he radiates power and menace. In the background, people wave flags and raise fists, hinting at rebellion and political drama.
Unlike the first film, which focused on a real-life income tax raid, Raid 2 dives into political corruption and power struggles. Riteish’s role as the antagonist adds complexity, making the clash between power and justice even more thrilling.
About The Film
Raj Kumar Gupta, who directed the first film, returns to helm the sequel. The movie is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, and Kumar Mangat Pathak. T-Series, Panorama Studios, and Gulshan Kumar are presenting the film.
Alongside Ajay Devgn, who reprises his role as the fearless IRS officer, Vaani Kapoor also plays a key role. Riteish’s character, a corrupt and powerful politician, is expected to add major drama to the story.
The film arrives in cinemas on May 1, which is also International Workers’ Day. This release date adds deeper meaning to the film’s themes of justice and resistance against corruption.
