On his directorial debut, Sharan Sharma teamed with Janhvi Kapoor on the Gunjan Saxena biography. The film was well-received by both viewers and critics. Now, we learn that the filmmaker has completed the script for his next project, which would star Janhvi with Rajkummar Rao. It’s reported to be a fictional drama set in the world of cricket, and it’ll hit the screens by the end of the year.
“Sharan has been planning to make a film on this story for a while now and is now all ready to take it on floors. Both Rajkummar and Janhvi will be seen as cricketers in the film and will be training to learn the sport later this year. It’s a fictional tale loaded with emotions and feel-good elements,” Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development as saying.
It also marks Rajkummar and Janhvi’s first collaboration since the horror comedy Roohi, which was released recently. The filmmakers are now putting together an ensemble cast for the film. Janhvi is anticipated to wrap up filming for Helen, which starts shooting this month, before going on to Sharan’s next. She also has Dostana 2 in the pipeline.
On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao has already wrapped up shooting for the Abhishek Jain directed, Hum Do Hamare Do and the Badhaai Ho sequel, Badhaai Do. He will be commencing shooton the official remake of Telugu film, Hit.
