Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest actors in Bollywood right now. In a career spanning more than a decade, Rajkummar has acted in several critical and commercial successes. He has also been bestowed with the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in Shahid. For the first time in his career, he will be teaming up with the talented Vaani Kapoor.
Now, it has been reported that both actors are teaming up for the first time for Anubhav Sinha‘s Bachpan Ka Pyar. The small-town love story will be produced by Anubhav’s Benaras Media Works. This year alone, Anubhav has come up with three projects: Bheed (also starring Rajkummar Rao), Hansal Mehta’s Faraaz, and Sudhir Mishra’s Afwaah which he produced.
Bachpan Ka Pyar will be set in Lucknow and will be helmed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, who previously directed the Jitendra Kumar-starrer romantic comedy Chaman Bahaar. According to a source, both the actors have signed the film and the team will start shooting for the film sometime next month.
Rajkummar And Vaani’s Collab With Anubhav Sinha
Bachpan Ka Pyar will mark the first collaboration between Vaani Kapoor and Anubhav Sinha. For Rajkummar, it is their third collaboration after Bheed and the upcoming anthology film. Bheed was based on the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown and was released earlier this year. Despite good reviews, it failed to make an impact at the box office. Since 2018′ Mulk, Anubhav has reinvented himself and has been making films that talk about social issues. His films like Thappad and Article 15 were well received.

Rajkummar And Vaani’s Upcoming Projects
Vaani Kapoor will be making her streaming debut with Mandala Murders and is also doing a social comedy film titled Sarvagunn Sampann. She was last in 2022 in YRF’s Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor. The film was a critical and commercial dud. Rajkummar, on the other hand, has several projects lined up. He is portraying Srikant Bholla in Sri, collaborating with Janhvi Kapoor in Mr and Mrs. Mahi and will be retuning in Stree 2 with Shraddha Kapoor. The filming of the latter kickstarted just a few days ago.
