Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are starting a new journey in their careers. The couple has launched their own production house Kampa Films. The name holds special meaning as it combines the initials of their mothers’ names. It is their way of paying tribute to the values and support that shaped their paths in Bollywood.

With Kampa Films, they want to create stories that entertain and leave a strong impact. “We’ve always believed in the power of storytelling. With Kampa, we’re looking forward to sharing these stories with the world,” said Patralekhaa.
Rajkummar also shared his excitement and said, “For Patralekhaa and I, Kampa is a natural extension of our love for cinema. We’ve always believed in the magic of storytelling, and Kampa gives us the chance to bring stories we care about to life. We’re excited to take this step together.”
Details About Their First Project
Kampa Films has already begun work on its first project, a film directed by Vivek Daschaudhary. The title is yet to be announced. Daschaudhary, who worked as an assistant director on Guns & Gulaabs (2023), is making his directorial debut with this feature film. The movie is set for a direct-to-web release on Netflix and will start filming in January.
Rajkummar had been thinking about moving into production for some time, but the huge success of Stree 2 confirmed his decision. A source close to the project had revealed to mid-day, “Raj has always been passionate about different aspects of filmmaking. It was Patralekhaa who encouraged him to take the plunge into production. After Stree 2’s success, he felt the timing was just right.”
For their first project, Rao and Patralekhaa are supporting a fresh voice in filmmaking. Daschaudhary’s approach to storytelling impressed them, matching their goal of bringing unique narratives to the forefront.
A team member working on the project shared, “It’s an unconventional drama. Raj and Vivek share a deep respect for meaningful storytelling, and they want to bring such narratives to the forefront. While Kampa has multiple projects in the pipeline, this will be the first to roll.”
