Known for their top-tier content on OTT platforms, with hits like Farzi, The Family Man, and most recently, Guns & Gulaabs, the duo is gearing up for their next big project. This time, they’re collaborating with Netflix to bring an action-fantasy thriller series titled Rakt Bramhand.
Raj & DK ANNOUNCE Their Next Titled Rakt Bramhand
The announcement came through an exciting post on social media. Raj & DK shared a gripping poster with the caption, “We’ve got BIGGGGGG news that’ll stir your blood! We’re pumped to announce our first-ever action-fantasy series.”
Rakt Bramhand promises to transport viewers to a fantastical kingdom filled with intense action and stunning visuals.
The series aims to present a narrative that is both gripping and edgy, showcasing a world unlike any seen before. Raj & DK are venturing into new territory with this project, which makes it even more thrilling for them.

Discussing their collaboration with Netflix, the duo said, “This is uncharted territory which makes it all the more thrilling for us! Our goal is to develop a fictional world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we have heard in our childhood. We are having an amazing time working with the very talented Rahi and our uber-versatile partner Sita to bring this unique vision to life. Working with Netflix has been excellent and we have their enthusiastic support to back the unconventional vision for Rakt Bramhand!”
While specific details about the series are still under wraps, it is known that Raj & DK will not be directing this time. Instead, they will serve as showrunners and producers through their D2R Films banner.
Directorial duties will be handled by Rahi Anil Barve, who gained acclaim for his mythological horror film Tumbbad in 2018. Pre-production for Rakt Bramhand has been ongoing for the past six months, and filming has already begun as per the announcement.
Aditya Roy Kapur & Samantha Ruth Prabhu To Lead Rakt Bramhand?
Reports suggest that the series will star Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.
If true, this will mark Aditya Roy Kapur’s second web series, following his successful debut with Disney+Hotstar’s The Night Manager.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be teaming up with Raj & DK for the third time, after The Family Man 2 and the upcoming Citadel: Honey Bunny.
Wamiqa Gabbi continues to build her impressive filmography with this series, adding to her notable works like Grahan, Mai, Jubilee, and Charlie Chopra & the Mystery of Solang Valley.
Fans will have to wait until late 2025 to dive into the world of Rakt Bramhand when it premieres on Netflix.
