Ramayana: Amid Copyright Violation Case, Makers Halt The Shoot Of Ranbir Kapoor Starrer; Here’s When The Filming Will Resume!

Ramayana shoot has been halted after the copyright violation case filed by Madhu Mantena. It is expected to begin again in few weeks.

Nitesh Tiwari‘s directorial project, based on the epic Ramayana, has hit a snag with changes in production. Despite Madhu Mantena‘s departure as co-producer, the film’s journey hasn’t smoothed out.

Mantena’s exit initially hinted at a new direction, but reportedly, he has requested a halt in filming until compensation issues are settled.

Ramayana Shooting Halted After Copyright Infringement Case

Insiders close to the production told Bollywood Hungama that Tiwari’s mythological film came to a standstill after facing a copyright infringement challenge. “The shooting continued for a few days after the notice but has been on hold since last week.

The matter has to be resolved legally, and filming will only resume when a consensus on the matter is reached,” reveals a source linked to the project. The film, starring Kapoor as Lord Ram alongside Sunny Deol, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, remains in limbo.

Here’s What Ramayana Makers Have Planned Next

Although production is currently on pause, the production house maintains that the project hasn’t been shelved. Sources assure that shooting is expected to restart within three weeks. “There are date-related issues that need to be addressed since Ranbir is expected to start [Sanjay Leela] Bhansali’s project later this year, and Sunny will move on to filming Border 2. Shooting will be scheduled in such a way that their absence doesn’t hamper the project. It will be shot in two parts, with the second edition eyeing a release date six months after the first part hits screens.”

Nitesh Tiwari, the director, has chosen to remain silent on the matter, offering no response to inquiries.
