The highly anticipated Ramayana: The Introduction, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, is gearing up for a massive first look poster reveal. Following the title and logo announcement, along with a sneak peek of the main cast, the production team is now preparing to launch the first look poster in March 2026. The poster featuring Ranbir as Ram and Yash as Ravana is expected to drop around Ram Navami, which falls on March 27 this year.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, this two part franchise is scheduled to premiere on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027. The preparations are in full effect, and viewers should get ready for a stunning visual experience.
First Poster To Celebrate Ram Navami
Ramayana will depict the legendary confrontation between Ram and Ravana in Lanka after the latter kidnaps Sita from the forest during her 14 year exile. In honor of Raghava’s birth on Ram Navami 2026, the team intends to reveal the first poster in March. This holds great importance for the film as it connects with the spiritual significance of the festival.
The title announcement video was shared on July 3, 2025, giving fans their first glimpse of this epic retelling of the Hindu epic reimagined for contemporary audiences.
Massive Star Cast Assembled
In Ramayana: The Introduction, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama while Sai Pallavi takes on the role of Goddess Sita. Yash is making his Bollywood debut as Ravana. Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman, Ravi Dubey is set to portray Lakshman, and Lara Dutta will be seen as Kaikeyi.
Reports suggest that Rakul Preet Singh has been cast as Surpanakha. Additionally, Arun Govil is set to play King Dashrath, Kunal Kapoor is cast as Lord Indra, Adinath Kothare will appear as Bharat, and Mohit Raina will reprise his role as Lord Shiva.
Oscar Winner Hans Zimmer Makes Bollywood Debut
Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer is making his Bollywood debut alongside A.R. Rahman, crafting the film’s score. This collaboration promises to deliver a musical experience unlike anything seen in Indian cinema before. The action scenes are being designed by Guy Norris, renowned for his work on Mad Max: Fury Road.
