Ramayana Eyes Two Distinct Trailer Launches In July 2026 With Bharat Mandapam Event And Comic-Con Push

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has locked in a two-pronged July 2026 promotional push, with one trailer headed for an India showcase and another positioned for a major US fan event. Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that the campaign has been designed around two distinct trailer launches, giving the film a domestic theatrical moment and a separate international stage in the same month.

The rollout places Ramayana at the center of one of the busiest movie conversations of July. With the film already carrying strong attention around its casting and scale, the decision to split the promo campaign across two high-visibility platforms marks a clear and deliberate strategy from the team behind the project.

Two Trailer Showcases Mark Ramayana’s July Push

The first trailer runs for around four minutes and is planned for a theatrical rollout alongside Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, with a special screening event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on July 18. A second trailer, running roughly three and a half minutes, has been prepared for a dedicated unveiling at San Diego Comic-Con, where the film is set to be presented before a large US audience later this month.

Box Office Worldwide has also exclusively learned that an English lip-synced version has been prepared for international viewers, with the trailer strategy built to support that wider outreach. The split presentation gives the makers two very different launch pads, one rooted in India’s event-cinema space and the other in a global fan convention environment.

Comic-Con’s official panel description has already offered a glimpse of how the film is being framed. It reads, “In an age of gods and kings, the fate of worlds hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice and the greater good, must face Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and vengeance, powerful enough to shatter the cosmos.”

The same description adds, “Namit Malhotra, founder of Prime Focus, and global CEO of visual effects powerhouse DNEG, is joined by Ranbir Kapoor (Rama), Yash (Ravana) and director Nitesh Tiwari for an exclusive first look at the largest cinematic undertaking in Indian film history and a sweeping new retelling of one of the world’s oldest and most enduring epics.”

The Cast, Music, And Release Plan Behind Ramayana

Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios, with DNEG handling the visual effects. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman are attached to the music.

The film is planned as a two-part adaptation of the Indian epic. Part 1 is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 theatrical release, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027. The story centers on Rama’s battle against Ravana, drawing from one of the most enduring epics in Indian storytelling.
