Kapoor, Tiwari and Malhotra came together for the post-screening interaction after presenting footage centred on Rama, offering international media an early look at the tone and visual language of the two-part adaptation. The session added fresh momentum to a campaign that has been rolling out in deliberate stages, each reveal widening curiosity around the film.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol features as Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey plays Lakshmana. The project has also drawn attention for uniting Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman on the music, an unusually high-profile creative pairing for an Indian mythological feature.
The film is planned as a two-part saga, with Part One scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part Two for Diwali 2027. It retells the enduring journey of Rama and Sita through exile, devotion and war against Ravana, with the adaptation aiming to balance reverence for the epic with event-film storytelling.

His confirmed upcoming theatrical lineup also includes Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, as well as Animal Park.
