Rashmika Mandanna is on a roll with several exciting projects lined up, and she has now started shooting for her latest film, Sikandar. The film features the actress alongside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, marking their first collaboration.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, known for hits like Ghajini and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, Sikandar is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases.
Rashmika Mandanna Shares An Update As She Kicks Off Sikandar Shoot
On Wednesday, Rashmika took to Instagram Stories to share a small update from her first day on set. She posted a short video where she showed a flower bouquet and added the word “Flowers” to the clip.
Keeping things light and fun, she also made a finger heart gesture, which fans quickly recognised as a nod to the popular Korean heart symbol. Her post immediately grabbed attention, and fans were thrilled to see her enthusiasm for the project.
The film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Fans are particularly excited about this reunion between Salman and Sajid, who last worked together on the 2014 blockbuster Kick.
As per reports, the makers have locked in the release date for Eid 2025, a festive slot traditionally reserved for Salman Khan films. With Salman headlining the movie, expectations are already high, and Sikandar is shaping up to be a big-budget spectacle.
This isn’t the only buzz surrounding Rashmika right now. Recently, the actress revealed that she had a minor accident, but she’s taking it all in stride. In fact, she shared with her followers that she’s been enjoying plenty of laddoos during her recovery, adding a fun twist to her update.

On the professional front, Rashmika is juggling multiple high-profile projects. She recently starred in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, which turned out to be a massive hit. Up next, she’s reprising her iconic role as Srivalli in the eagerly awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun. Besides Sikandar, she also has Kubera and Chhaava opposite Vicky Kaushal in the pipeline.
In Chhaava, Rashmika will portray Yeshubai Bhosle, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in key roles. Interestingly, Chhaava is scheduled to release on December 6, 2025, which means Rashmika will have two major films clashing at the box office, as Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to debut on the same day.
It’s a rare moment in an actress’s career when two big-budget films are released on the same date, and fans are eagerly waiting to see how both films perform.
