At a recent event in Hyderabad, Pushpa 2 director Sukumar praised Rashmika in The Girlfriend teaser.
“I saw Rahul’s teaser of Girlfriend, all close-ups were good. You caught this girl very well because all the expressions are really nice too. So it was great. The Girlfriend teaser is amazing. Thank you, Srivalli,” he said.

This Film Was Announced In 2022
The Girlfriend was first announced in 2022, with its first-look poster released in April of the same year. In the poster, Rashmika is seen looking coy in a college setting. The film is expected to be a love story with a thrilling twist that will captivate audiences.
Makers teased its concept on social media and wrote, “Her eyes smile before she does. And they speak the words that she won’t. Introducing #TheGirlfriend”
The film is produced by Geetha Arts, Mass Movie Makers, and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment, with Allu Aravind presenting it. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, The Girlfriend promises to be a captivating love story.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to release on December 5. The film stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna, and is directed by Sukumar.
