There is nothing new when it comes to Bollywood and fake news, both go hand in hand. In the recent report made by a leading daily, Akshay Kumar will be co-producing the Hindi remake of a Telugu film called Bhaagmathie. The daily also quoted that the film will feature R. Madhavan and Bhumi Pednekar in a leading role.
However, as soon as the news braked the Tanu Weds Manu actor put up a statement on Twitter and said such reports are merely rumors. He made clarified that he has not been approached by the filmmakers and therefore he is not a part of the project.
“Hey guys .. not true . I have no idea about this project. ” the actor wrote on his Twitter handle. Check out his tweet here:
The actor also slammed the daily for putting up such fake news reports.
This is not the first time when the actors have to put up a clarification on there Twitter handle on rumors that went viral on the internet. Death hoaxes are quite common in the world of viral news.
Well, talking about the film there are some reports doing rounds on the internet that the remake of Bhaagamathie will be directed by G Ashok. Ashok has directed the original movie, it may also feature Akshay Kumar in a cameo.
