The espionage thriller is ‘inspired by true events,’ according to a short video clip released alongside the release date announcement, which depicts Akshay as a RAW Agent and the entire ensemble of the film walking against the backdrop of an aircraft.
Bell Bottom was initially scheduled to hit theaters on May 28, but it was postponed owing to the second wave of coronavirus. The makers then set their sights on July 27, but because several states refused to loosen their limitations on the opening of movie theaters, they pushed the date back to August 19.
