Jr NTR has cleared the air after recent rumours about an accident and hospitalisation had fans worried. The actor’s team has confirmed that he did not meet with an accident but instead suffered a minor wrist injury during a gym workout. Fortunately, he is expected to resume work on his upcoming film, Devara, after a brief recovery period.
Jr NTR Rubbishes The Reports Of His Accident
The injury was confirmed in a statement from Jr NTR’s team. “Mr. NTR @tarak9999 sustained a minor sprain to his left wrist a couple of days ago while working out in the gym. His hand has been immobilised with a cast as a precautionary measure,” the statement read.
The team reassured fans, adding, “Despite the injury, Mr NTR has completed the shoot for Devara last night and is now recuperating. The cast will be off in a couple of weeks and he will be back at work soon. In the meantime, we request that speculation regarding this minor injury is avoided.” Alongside the update, a picture of Jr NTR’s hand in a cast was shared to provide further clarity.

The injury news came shortly after Jr NTR announced he had wrapped up filming Devara: Part 1. He shared his excitement on X, saying, “Just wrapped my final shot for Devara Part 1. What a wonderful journey it has been. I will miss the ocean of love and the incredible team. Can’t wait for everyone to sail into the world crafted by Siva on the 27th of September.”

Devara, directed by Koratala Siva, is generating considerable buzz as it will mark the Tollywood debuts of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Saif will play the role of Bhaira, while Janhvi will star as Thangam. Produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram presenting, the film is set to hit theatres on September 27, 2024.
