Here’s the breakdown: during the first two weeks, it collected Rs 1.10 crore and then in week three’s initial four days incredibly achieved Rs 69 lakh.
The momentum is such that this re-release may end up matching its initial two-week collections as well! There might even be a strong fourth-week showing, according to industry experts.
What’s fueling this fire? Positive audience reception, for starters. After a strong two-week run with a limited release, Rockstar went wide to a whopping 175 screens. This gamble paid off handsomely, with collections soaring significantly.
And here’s the real shocker: third Monday collections were better than the previous Friday and just shy of Saturday’s takings! Now that’s staying power!
Possibility Of Strong Theatre Footfalls Exceeding 2 Lakh
This box office phenomenon has a deeper meaning. After its return, Rockstar has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark again and is eyeing a Rs 71 crore finish before leaving theatres for good.
Footfalls are estimated at a staggering 1.5-1.6 lakh, with a strong possibility of exceeding even 2 lakh! These numbers, for a 13-year-old film, prove Rockstar‘s enduring appeal and the audience’s willingness to return to theatres, especially for films with attractive pricing.
